Copperbelt Joint Venture Exploration Area – TEAL 70%
The Copperbelt Joint Venture Exploration Area, subject to a joint venture with KZC, consists of five large scale prospecting licences adjacent to producing copper mines on the Zambian Copperbelt. The Mwambashi Copper Project forms part of this joint venture. TEAL has also identified several high-priority targets along strike from Mwambashi where copper mineralization is known, and exploration work is continuing on these areas, while diamond drilling at the Samba deposit has been completed and analytical results are awaited.
Five diamond drill holes were also completed in the Kabula copper prospect totalling 1,026m. The exploration rig was then redeployed to the Katembula area where seven holes totaling 1,213m were drilled and, on completion of this work, the drilling machine moved to the Chipopo area where three holes totaling 724m were completed. Assay samples from all holes have been submitted for analysis and results are awaited.
